OUR COMPANY

Dakota Trailways is a third-generation, family owned business, with a long-standing heritage of excellence and commitment to our customers.

Established in 1957 by Leo and Irene Erhart, the Dakota Trailways fleet began as five school buses and several Flexible and Spartan charter buses for tours.

Now, more than fifty years and three generations later, Dakota Trailways has expanded to four locations in three states and our team of highly trained staff manages a full-service fleet of luxury coaches, mini buses, and school buses. 

Through all the changes, our old-time commitment to quality remains, and the result can be seen every day in our courteous drivers, clean buses, and satisfied customers.

OUR OFFICES

Dakota Trailways has four office locations: our headquarters in Spearfish, South Dakota, and three satellite offices in Dickinson, North Dakota, Gillette, Wyoming, and Newcastle, Wyoming. All locations actively provide charter bus transportation to all parts of the United States. Our North Dakota branch also provides special charter services for Dickinson State University, while our Wyoming branches offer additional charter services to local mine workers.
